Putnam County has recently acquired an Emergency Notification System (commonly referred to as a "Reverse 911").

The System allows Putnam County 911 to notify telephone subscribers of severe weather and other emergency situations.

The basis of the notification system is the 911 database which warehouses all Putnam County land line telephone subscribers. 

Citizens may register cell phones, email addresses, and blackberry addresses as means where
