Putnam County Building Department issues permits for all unincorporated areas of the county and the following: Town of Cloverdale, Town of Bainbridge, Town of Roachdale, and Town of Russellville
If the property is located within the City of Greencastle 2-Mile Fringe area approval from the City of Greencastle is required. Please contact the City of Greencastle Planning Department for more information

The energy code certificate is just for the prescriptive method

Requirements
For all commercial buildings a Certificate of Design Release from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security is required.

Building Inspection
24 hours notice is required when scheduling inspections. Inspections are conducted Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

- Footer
- Foundation
- Rough-in (includes mechanical, plumbing, and electrical)
- Insulation
- Final
